This Cypriot cookbook is just the thing to get you in the mood for some Summer cooking. There are plenty of classic Greek dishes throughout, with some Cyrpriot twists. If you’ve never done any Greek cooking before, this would be an excellent introductory guide.

Favourite recipe: Grilled Spicy Prawns with Feta & Ouzo (Saganaki) - this is such a simple dish that is very much more than just the sum of its parts. Perfect for a late afternoon in Summer.

Best for beginners: Coriander & Lemon Roast Chicken - If you are not confident roasting a whole chicken, this is a great recipe for a very flavourful but still classic roast.

I’m looking forward to trying: Homemade Halva - I had Halva for the first time in Jordan; it tastes a lot like a Middle Eastern version of Scottish tablet! It’s very sweet but is balanced out with tahini.
