Recommended Cookbook of the Month: Simple

By Yotam Ottolenghi

Last month I made a point of the fact that Ottolenghi’s simple is not quite as simple as Sabrina Gahyour’s Simply. However, this does not stop it from being one of my all time favourite cook books ever. We’re talking top 3 material. If you’re a confident home cook - buy this. You will try a recipe in this book that is slightly out there from what you normally do - then you will never go back to how you did it before.

Favourite recipe: Whole Roasted Celeriac with Coriander Seed Oil - this is an unusual choice for a favourite recipe but that is how good it is.

Best for beginners: Blueberry, Almond and Lemon Cake - I probably make this cake once a month now. Such a simple and quick cake that always pleases when brought out to share with company.

I’m looking forward to trying: Squid and Red Pepper Stew - Squid in a stew?! I’m intrigued..
